Øyvind Nordhagen (b. 1981)

Øyvind started making images at age 13 when he persuaded his mother buy the family a Minolta Dynax 3000i, after having spent a lot of time in his father’s darkroom. He then proceeded to build his own darkroom for black and white development and printing for hobby work. In 2001 he founded Okular design studio, where he went on to shoot commercial and corporate as side gigs related to commissioned design projects.

In the following 20 years Øyvind made a made a career as a technology worker and leader, after having been responsible for most of the interactive work coming out of Okular. Photography was still a passion that came handy in many of the projects he worked on during that time. In 2020 he decided to focus on documentary and street photography as an art form for investigating interests and as commentary.

In 2021 Øyvind co-founded Oslo Street Photography Collective which has since become the most internationally diverse photographic community in the Nordics, participating in exhibitions, giving talks and organizing the Oslo Street Photo Festival.

Øyvind is available for corporate and event photography in the Oslo region.
